Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Hermione Granger: Heartbroken
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Hermione finally expresses her love for Ron, but it's not him who she tells. It's Harry. When Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown start dating, it leaves Hermione heartbroken, and she tells Harry about it after watching Ron and Lavender have their first kiss. Eventually, as you probably already know, Ron and Lavender break-up which makes Hermione very happy, and not mad at Ron anymore.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
I got tears in my eyes when everyone's favorite Professor Dumbledore died. He was a great man. He was strong, brave, loving, smart, wise, and (almost regretful but true), gay. He lived a great life, although not all times for him were all a goblet of pumpkin juice. To Dumbledore, Harry was like his son. To Harry, Dumbledore was like a father or grandfather figure. We all miss you, Dumbledore. Maybe even Lord Voldemort.
Hello, Horcruxes!
This is the book where we finally learn about the terrible but true horcruxes! A horcrux, as you probably already know, is an object which someone conceals part of their soul in. So when they die, part of them still lives on. Their body will be dead, but not part of their soul! The only way to make a horcrux, sad but true, is to kill someone. You can destroy horcruxes with some types of venom (like Basilisk venom) and with some types of silver or metal (like Godric Gryffindor's sword). As you probably know, Lord Voldemort has seven horcruxes. If you were Voldemort, what would you make your horcrux out of? Please e-mail me with an answer and I'll put it up on my upcoming "Hello, Horcruxes!" page!
